Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the cinz app and cinz.app ("cinz", "we") collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address, name, username, and profile photo. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
- What you post — ratings, reviews, watch logs, lists, comments, likes, follows, your watchlist and the shows you track.
- Device info for notifications — a push notification token for your device, if you allow notifications.
- Reports — if you report content, the report and the reason you chose.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we don't sell your data.
How we use it
- To run the app: show your profile, posts and lists, and let people follow and interact with you.
- To send notifications you've allowed (likes, comments, follows, new-episode reminders).
- To keep cinz safe: review reported content and remove posts or accounts that break our Terms.
Who can see what
Your profile, ratings, reviews, public lists, comments and follows are visible to other cinz users. Private lists are visible only to you. Your email address is never shown to other users.
Services we use
- Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage (hosted in Singapore).
- Google — optional Google sign-in, and Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications on Android.
- Expo — delivers push notifications to your device.
- TMDB — film and TV information and posters. cinz uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
These providers process data only to provide their service to us.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual posts, comments and lists in the app at any time. To delete your whole account and everything linked to it, use Settings → Delete account in the app, or see Delete your account.
Children
cinz is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@cinz.app.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
